‘Why I Dressed Dead Bodies’ – Veteran Actress Mama G Reveals
A famous Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has narrated what hurdles life had put her through before fame came knocking on her door.
Mama’s inspiring story of her life’s journey is that of ‘from grass to grace havingade resilience and determination her watchword, despite the odds.
Speaking at the pre-premiere dinner for Funke Akindele’s movie Everybody Loves Jenifa, Ozokwor reflected on the challenges she faced to provide for her family before fortune smiled on her.
“Funke Akindele is a very strong woman. I love strong women. I am a strong woman. I am talking about the things that I do at home. I am a very strong woman, I went through thick and thin to become who I am today,” she said, recounting the odd jobs she took on to support her family.
“I used to go to the morgue to dress dead bodies so my children could go to school and eat. I did a lot of things to make my family become what they are today.”
Mama G also applauded Funke Akindele, as she described her as a hardworking and determined individual who, according to her gives her a retrospect of what she was before stardom.
Pouring more appraisals on the Nollywood star, Mama G, amidst euphoria added:
“Funke Akindele is a very strong woman. I love strong women. When I see her, I look at myself. She’s a replica of who I am,” she said.
