Why Abia Central Needs Rep. Sam Onuigbo Part 3: ELECTRICITY
Every country serious about development must centre its plan around the provision of electricity which has proven over and over again to be at the nucleus of driving industrial growth. This is more so for a country like Nigeria with a crippling rate of unemployment.
Rep. Sam Onuigbo in his vision for a progressive Nigeria, has always been aware of this and has at several fora advanced conversations on addressing Nigeria’s energy poverty particularly by using renewable energy to bridge the energy gap. Little wonder then that the Climate Change Act which he sponsored makes a case for renewable energy and is complementing Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan which seeks to improve energy generation in the country.
As part of his commitment towards ensuring that electricity is provided for his constituents then, Rep. Sam Onuigbo facilitated electricity projects at the following places. In each case 300/500 KVA transformers were installed and powered as part of the electricity projects:
—Umuagungolori, Umuahia North LGA.
Amafor Isingwu, Ohuhu, Umuahia North LGA (Ongoing).
—Agbama Housing Estate (Holy Ghost Area),Umuahia South LGA.
