Uko Nkole lauds CONNAK Foundation over fight against COVID-19

The House of Representatives member, Arochukwu/Ohafia federal constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole has applauded the management of CONNAK foundation over her outstanding initiatives geared towards militating against the spread of coronavirus in Nigeria.

Rt. Hon. Nkole gave this commendation when he received some members of CONNAK FOUNDATION, today, Thursday, at his country home, in Ozu Abam, Arochukwu LGA of Abia state, while expressing optimism in God’s infinite mercies to protect the entire people of the world and help eradicate the deadly virus from among them.

Nkole who thanked the foundation for finding him worthy for the visit and commended the foundation’s philanthropic gestures and efforts towards ensuring Abians are protected from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic through distribution of Free Personal Protective Equipment to Keke drivers.

Hear him: “CONNAK FOUNDATION has been known for her trajectory of continuous touching of lives of the populace. I must commend their initiatives to help in the fight against the spread of coronavirus that’s ravaging the world”.

Furthermore, Hon. Nkole prayed God to reward their sacrifice to humanity and at the same time, protect them as they traverse all other communities in the course of their humanitarian services.

In addition the federal lawmaker assured the foundation of his readiness to always run to the aide of the latter against all odds, as he used the medium to implore on Abians to stick to the laid down precautionary measures by the NCDC and the government, which range from regular use of face masks, constant hand washing, regular use of the alcohol based sanitizers, as well as maintaining social distancing among others.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, the CONNAK’s medical representative in Nigeria, Dr. Orji Udo Nnorom said the team decided to make their first port of call to the  political leader in Arochukwu Local Government Area and  expressed their gratitude to me for the warm reception.

Speaking earlier, on behalf of the foundation, the Nigerian medical representative, Dr. Orji Udo Nnorom explained that CONNAK FOUNDATION among others enhances human life by implementing programs that leverage on technology and community participation; to promote good health and economic well-being for the youths and women were enroute Ohafia to distribute Personal Protective Equipment, PPE to Keke drivers which is an initiative of the foundation to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world by providing Keke drivers with free face shields, hand sanitisers to protect themselves and Abians at large.

Moreso, the foundation used the medium to convey their heartfelt sympathy to Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole over the demise of his father, Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole Ndukwe and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest and comfort the family in this moment of grief.


Highlight of the visit was the presentation of carton of face shield, hand sanitizers to Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole by the foundation who in return presented face masks and a quarterly compendium of his remarkable achievements across the federal constituency to the foundation.
