The Chairman of Udala Football Club, Chief Philip Udala, was today burnt to death by some yet to be disclosed gunmen, as several attempts to kill him with bullets proved abortive.
Reportedly, all efforts to take his life through bullets fired at Chief Ugala failed, hence the gunmen resorted to setting him ablaze.
Also killed were members of his convoy, as their vehicles were burnt alongside.
The incident, as gathered, took place yesterday, Tuesday, when his convoy ran into a team of armed gunmen at Eke-Agu Market junction in Abatete, Idemili North Local Area.
