How Cele Church Pastor Killed Fresh Graduate, collected #1.5m

A 28-year-old man, Ogunbode Quadri Adedamola was declared missing on January 16, 2025.

The victim’s girlfriend explained that she called the former on the same day he went missing and he mentioned being in front of the church, CCC ILERI OLUWA PARISH, LASU 2.

According to her, Adedamola assured her over the phone that he would call back after his meeting with the pastor but unfortunately, he never did.

Meanwhile, following the girlfriend’s confession, when the Police visited the church , the Shepherd claimed he did not see him on that day and as such, had no prior knowledge of his whereabouts whatsoever.

However, this conversation did not sound satisfactory to the Police, as they, instead of swallowing in the perceived lies from the pastor ‘hook line and sinker’, intensified their investigation in their quest to unravel the crux of the matter.

Reportedly, the police successfully acquired the victim’s bank statement, whi read that N1.5m was transferred from the guy’s account on the day he vanished into thin air.

The amount was allegedly deposited into Shepherd’s bank account, as well as that of his daughter and others’.

The shepherd, Sup. Evang. Whepetoji Babaniyeh, first denied receiving the money, but subsequently, after being shown evidence by the police, asserted it was for Thanksgiving, prompting his detention for additional investigation

With mounting evidence against him, the pastor was detained, and his accomplices were later apprehended. One of them confessed to the murder, revealing that Ogunbode was killed and his body parts were harvested for ritual purposes. The remaining parts of his body were discovered buried within the premises of CCC Ileri Oluwa Parish, LASU 2, PPL Ojo Oko-Maiko, Lagos.

A police raid on the church compound led to the discovery of other incriminating items, including firearms, axes, and cutlasses—suggesting that Prophet Babaniyah and his accomplices may have been involved in other criminal activities beyond ritual killings.

According to reports, the victim obtained a degree from the Political Science Education Department of Lagos State University in 2024 and was running his private business, Horlar Edu Consultancy, at the LASU Campus before he was gruesomely murdered by the self-acclaimed pastor for rituals.

Furthermore, information has it that the killer self-acclaimed prophet has been arrested by the police for the brutal murder of the 28-years-old.
