Two Kidnap Victims Rescued In Abia As New CP Janet Agbede Stepped In

The Nigeria Police Force, Abia State Command headed by CP Janet Agbede has rescued 2 kidnap victims in Amauzo Okpolu Umuobo Community, in Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State.

The hoodlums had on Wednesday, May 7, 2020 by 10:00 pm abducted two persons along Okpolu Umuobo road near Jesus Christ of Later Day Saint Church, in Osisioma Local Government Area of Aba commercial city.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede has achieved this great feat within 2 weeks of her deployment to Abia State.

Famous Reporters recalls that CP Agbede had during her first press briefing, warned criminals to steer clear off the state, threatening that her administration has deduced strategies to enable them fight the latter to a finish.

Those kidnapped by the hoodlums are Nwankwo Chinedu (male) 42 years and Ndukwe Agu (male) aged 48 years were both abducted at Okpolu Umuobo road, on Wednesday.

When after the incident happened, the commissioner of Police , CP Janet Agbede got intelligence that the kidnappers moved the victims to their hideout at Amauzo Okpolu Umuobo community , Osisioma Council area.

The CP detailed SARS commander in Abia , SP Johnbull Obioguru and the C.T.U. men to fish out the criminals and resue their innocent victims.

In the same night of Wednesday, the SARS Commander with his team stormed the kidnappers hideout which happens to be the home of one of the kidnappers and resued their victims.

Reportedly, the kidnappers, upon seeing the SARS team coming towards their  direction, opened fire and the SARS team responded and overpowered them despite the fact that they had superior fire arms and they took to their heels abandoning the victims in their hideout.

During the gun duel with the hoodlums, two of the criminals sustained gun shot injuries and escaped with it.

Some of the items recovered from the criminals’ hideout were a Tecno cell phone suspected to belong to the hoodlums, and a RX 350 Jeep belonging to one of the victims.

Meanwhile, the police arrested the wife of one of criminals who is a nursing mother at the hideout as she was seen in the same building were the kidnappers keep their victims.
