Trump Warns of Possible U.S. Invasion of Nigeria Over Alleged Christian Genocide

“U.S. President Donald Trump has reignited global attention after warning of a possible U.S. invasion of Nigeria over alleged Christian genocide, vowing to “defend Christians worldwide.”

Washington, D.C. — U.S. President Donald Trump has once again issued a stern warning to Nigeria, threatening potential U.S. intervention over what he described as an ongoing “Christian genocide” in the country.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Trump declared that his government “will not sit back and watch” the continuous killings of Christians in Nigeria and across the world.

In his words:

“Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria. The United States cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening there, and in numerous other countries,” Trump said.

“We stand ready, willing, and able to save our great Christian population around the world!”

The remarks have sparked widespread international reactions, with many analysts warning that such rhetoric could heighten diplomatic tensions between Washington and Abuja.

The statement was also shared on the official White House X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by a video clip of the president’s comments.
