Sir Dina Commends Ikpeazu’s Lockdown Relaxation in Abia

The Special Adviser to Governor Ikpeazu on Trade and Investment has commended the state government over the relaxation of lockdown in the state.

Chief Sir Sunday N. Dina stated this in a media chat with some newsmen in Umuahia the state capital, pointing out that the decision is a laudable, as markets could operate three  for three times in a week without any form of obstruction, whatsoever thus enabling Traders in the state run their businesses as it were.

He further stated that the  relaxation of the lockdown in the state is a commendable one, noting “I must applaud  Gov. Ikpeazu for taking a bold step to ensure that the borders are closed and nobody goes in and or out of the state”, he said, as he tasked Abia residents to cooperate  with the federal and state government’s directives, as well as the NCDC in order to to curtail the the spread of the disease in the state.

Meanwhile, he charged Abia residents and Nigerians in general to ensure that they observe the various precautionary measures in spite of the temporary relaxation of the order, while assuring that the extant devastating situation faced by the entire nations of the world will end in no distant time.

“Abians should always have it at the back of their minds that relaxation of the Lockdown Order does not entail that Coronavirus has gone into extinction. No, Coronavirus still exists and that is why I urge Abians and every Nigerian all over the world to maintain social distancing, avoid crowded environments and wash their hands at least at ten minutes intervals or use alcohol based sanitizer.

“They should be law abiding. Let us help the Governent and very soon l, with the help of the Almighty God, Coronavirus will disappear into the air and never to return and then we’ll go about our normal businesses”, he advised.

In a related development,
Sir Dina eulogised the governor’s doggedness towards the protection of lives and property of Abians at the inception of the lockdown, especially in his notable relentless efforts towards ensuring that citizens abide by the preventive measures, as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic subsists.

“As we have seen it and witnessed it,  lot of things have been put in place as regards measures  taken by the Abia State government under the administration of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu in safeguarding Abians from getting  infected with this deadly virus”

He used the medium to also commend the humanitarian activities of the Governent all through the period of lockdown, hence the provision of palliatives to the Vulnerable in the state in their quest to deaden the ugly effects of the pandemic.
