The Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, CP Babaji Sunday has denied and debunked the viral media reports of an invasion by armed men on the Abuja residence of Senator Sani Musa.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers by the FCT Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh stated that, “The Commissioner of Police, FCT Police Command, CP Babaji Sunday, wishes to state emphatically that there was no invasion by armed men on the Abuja residence of Senator Sani Musa representing Niger East Senatorial District in the hollowed chambers of the National Assembly.”

According to the statement, “This is contrary to false publications being peddled by some media platforms who have failed to verify information in a bid to be perceived as “breaking the news”.”

The CP, in line with the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, has carried out strategic review of the security architecture in the FCT with improved deployments where necessary.

He therefore urges residents of the FCT to disregard the publication as the contents are false and targetted at causing unecessary unrest amongst FCT residents, while vigilance is strongly advised, suspicion or abnormal occurrence is to be reported through the following numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883, while the Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) desk, could be reached at: 0902 222 2352.
