Resist intrusion into region, APC stakeholder warns S’S, S’E

A stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abia state chapter has charged the entire people of the Southern region of Nigeria to vigorously resist all forms of intrusion by suspected Boko Haram insurgents into the regions, saying their mission is still unascertained.

State chairman, APC Elders council, Abia state chapter gave this charge during an interactive session with some Newsmen, in Umuahia, urging Abians and every Southerner in general to be vigilante and never to fall prey to some suspected predators.

“Our people must be strong and ensure that those infraction must not continue. An Igbo adage says ‘he who is surrounded by enemies watches over his own life’. So, we must ensure that they don’t come in again.

On the assertion that Dangote’s vehicles are used in Perpetrating the disgruntling act, he said: “No, Dangote can never ask them to do that.
Those drivers are Hawks, they make money out of Dangote through their involvement in illegal business. It’s the drivers that are doing this so don’t blame Dangote.

“They should be very serious and make sure that such thing doesn’t continue”, he insisted.

Chief Godfrey regretted that the men of security at the various borders had subjected themselves to bribery, hence the movement of the hoodlums across the various borders, our Police must have done that and it’s very shocking that such really happened.

“You don’t cast a stone at the market place because you don’t know whose head it’s going to land on; it could be your mother”.

“I blame our law enforcement officers because the President of Nigeria was specific, he said “no inter-state movement, no boundary crossing. But, surprisingly, you see these people flooding this place and what their intentions are, I cannot tell.

“I’m not happy about it and I expect the government to continue with what they have been doing, the government is doing very well but it appears like those whom they have entrusted the work in their hands are disappointing them.”

But, surprisingly, you see these people flooding this place and what their intentions are, I cannot tell.

The party leader, while stressing the need for the people to fasten their belts, advised them to adhere to the precautionary measures laid down by the government in their efforts to curb the spread of the disease.

He, however, called on the federal government of Nigeria to ensure that no state is left in the dark in the process of distributing palliative funds to the various states, as all including Abia state has been jeopardized by the pandemic.

“The Federal government should continue with what they’re doing; if they’re paying money to the states, then let them bring in Abia’s share down here; if they’re doing palliative let them bring ours here because people are suffering plenty here. Nobody is doing anything now and this lockdown is not something to write home about because nobody goes outside his state now to do business.”
