Rep. Onuigbo Receives Sacred Blessings From Osisioma Ngwa CAN Boss

The Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) for Abia Central Senatorial District, Rep. Sam Onuigbo, yesterday, February 7, 2023, made a courtesy call to Rev. Fr. Dr. Kelechi Anyanwu, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Chairman, Osisioma Chapter, who also is the Chief Methodist of the Catholic Church in Aba Diocese, and the Parish Priest of The Blessed Tansi Catholic Church, Osisioma Ngwa.

Thanking the CAN Chairman for receiving him with warmth on such short notice, Rep Onuigbo stated that he had come to pay his respect to the Man of God, and to seek Gods blessings as he treads the path to provide quality representation for the good people of Abia Central Senatorial District.

In his interaction with the Lord’s Shepherd, Rep. Onuigbo said that one of the major things that influenced his style of leadership was the fact that he grew from a humble beginning:

“My starting point and trajectory were challenging,” he explained.

This, he said, has motivated him to take actions geared towards improving the lives of the people of his constituency and declared his intentions to continue to provide purposeful leadership as the Senator for Abia Central Senatorial District.

Presenting his scorecard to Rev. Fr. Anyanwu, Rep Onuigbo enumerated some of the things he has been able to do for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, which include the ongoing total reconstruction of the Ikwuano/Umuahia/Ikot Ekpene Federal Road; the construction of a massive skills acquisition center at Umuahia South LGA; the construction of numerous classroom blocks across the Federal Constituency; erosion control projects done at Umuopara, Umuahia South LGA and Okwe, Ikwuano LGA; multiple skills acquisition programs for the women and youths which have moved them away from poverty and unemployment and empowered them economically; attracting a Federal Secretariat to Abia State, which will soon be awarded; sponsoring Nigeria’s Climate Change bill which has become an Act, and so many other numerous people-oriented projects and policies.

Rev. Fr. Kelechi Anyanwu remarked that while he has heard of Rep. Sam Onuigbo, he was pleased that he stopped by, stating that this interaction has given him the chance to interact with him and assess his person and stewardship. He acknowledged that he has enjoyed their interaction, which has shown Rep. Onuigbo to be a man of quality. He said that the forthcoming election is an existential one because the masses are going through a lot, “therefore, no one can afford to sit on the fence.”IMG 20230208 WA0011

In addition, he stated that the forthcoming election is not about the individual’s financial or social stature, but about the character and antecedents of the person: “who is this person and what have they been able to do to impact lives? I am happy that you are spreading your tentacles to this side, and we would love to see you provide the type of leadership you provided as the representative of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, on a bigger platform. It’s not just Ikwuano/Umuahia now, you are now the father of many more Local Governments,” he concluded.
