Pursue excellence, be helpful to your husbands, Pst Nwaka Urges Women

By Charity Uwakwe

Pst. (Mrs.) Blessing Nwaka (aka. Mummy B), wife of the General Overseer of Loyal Soldiers of Christ Church, Ndoro, Pastor Ifeanyi Nwaka, says the attributes of a woman go a long way to affect her immediate family and indeed the world around her either positively or adversely.

She advised women of the church and all over the world to endeavour to exude positive influence to the world around them, as she urged them to desist from all manners of worldliness such as wore whoremongery, backbiting, stealing, adultery, envy, jealousy, among others.

Pastor (Mrs.) Nwaka gave this homily during the Women’s Day Celebration of Loyal Soldiers of Christ Church, at Ndoro-Oboro, Ikwuano local government area of Abia State, last Sunday, pointing out that, “a woman’s beauty does not lie in the facial looks, nor her hair or dressing, rather it lies in the type of testimonies people give about you especially in your absence”.

Speaking on the theme: Great Women Of Positive Influence’, Mummy B urged women to imbibe good behaviour in their daily living, adding that, godly manners will enable them influence souls particularly their husbands and neighbours for Jesus Christ.

She reiterated that “you cannot influence the lives of the people outside your home if you have not influenced the people in your home. As a woman, your lifestyle has a way to either affect the children positively or negatively.

In her words: “Choose good character over circumstances. You don’t sleep with another man just because of your condition. No matter the condition you find yourself, let your good home be your first foundation. Pursue excellence; be of assistance to your husband; be hardworking and resist gossiping. Invest your time in profitable things. And let your service to God and mankind be made visible. Don’t be an underground child of God and endeavour not to displease God just to please your friend.

“If people know you as a tigress, it’s not a good one. Are you that mother that doesn’t allow others correct your children in the society or that engages in a fight incessantly with your husband or neighbours? You have to change.

Continuing, she said: “Dorcas in the Bible affected lives of the people around her and at a time she died but the women pleaded with God on her behalf and God heeded the pleas and agonies of the women in Dorcas’ church.

Mummy B who warned against attributes that result in blasphemy among women, pointed out that, “there are people in this church that cannot ever invite their neighbours to church because of the kind and lifestyle they exhibit”, she emphasised, as she

“A man can only proudly come out and say, this is my wife if you are well behaved. Let your character reflect on your outside. And do not let people around you blaspheme God because of you.

Furthermore, she outlined that a woman of positive influence ought to possess a good prayerful life, dignity, courage, wisdom and be of few words.

“Be a prayerful woman. A prayerful woman sees it before it happens. When your husband goes out, you’re on your knees praying for your family.”

“A woman of wisdom does more of listening and less of talking; whenever a woman of wisdom speaks, people listen. She does not talk amidst anger. She listens to the spirit of God to ascertain what she ought to and ought not to say.
We all need God’s wisdom to pilot the affairs of our families, she concluded”, as she prayed and asked God to endow the women with the spirit of wisdom.

Addressing journalists, Mummy B noted that “We believe that we are great women and we have a positive influence on the world.

In her euphoric mood, she thanked God for a successful women’s day celebration, saying “I am the happiest person on the earth, because this programme ended successfully.

On her impression about the women of Loyal Soldiers, she said: “I am more than impressed and I want to tell them that I hold them in high esteem and that they’re the best. Any time, any day, I love them and I’m proud of them.

She used the medium to express profound gratitude to God Almighty for the gift of a man like her husband, Pst. Ifeanyi Michael Nwaka, describing him as “my king and the crown on my head.”

“In fact, he’s the best among all; I’ll choose him over and over again.

Corroborating the testimonies borne by the women of the church, mummy B described her husband as an epitome of kindness, humility and care.

“Just like what the women of Loyal Soldiers said, my husband is kind, he’s someone that when he looks at you, he knows what you want. He’s a pastor to the core. He’s devoted to his calling and to the family.

In his vote of thanks, the General Overseer, Pastor Ifeanyi Nwaka lauded the women for their show of commitment and dedication towards the success of the event.

He urged them to endeavour to be pillars of their homes, while insisting that they recognise the place of their husbands as the crowns on their heads.

A section that incidentally produced the queen (representative) of Ikwuano as the Queen of Loyal Soldier.
