- Peter Obi Honours Mbaise Policy Roundtable”s 2023 Annual Global Summit
The front line Presidential candidate on the platform of the Labour party, His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi has graciously honoured his invitation to attend the 2023 annual global summit of the Mbaise Policy Roundtable with the theme: ” Education and Agriculture as building block for youth leadership and Entrepreneurship.
The event which held at Chris VI hotel on Tuesday, attracted, the creme de la creme of the society.
His Excellency, the incoming president, Mr Peter Obi was ably and capably represented by the ebulient Imo state coordinator of the Big Tent ObiDatti Presidential Campaign Council, Hon. Dr. Fabian Ihekweme, who delivered a powerful keynote address on behalf of his principal, Mr Peter Obi who attended a rally in Osun state . Dr. Ihekweme also represented the reverred and erudite Professor of economics and the National President of the Big Tent, Professor Pat Utomi.
Dr. Ihekweme while addressing members of the press said he represented H.E. Mr. Peter Obi and Prof. Pat Utomi and delivered very powerful key note addresses on behalf of them. He said, the level of support from Mbaise nation shows that Nigerians are earnestly yearning for a credible change and that the credible change is in Mr Peter Obi who can do the right thing for Nigeria; adding that when you listen to Mr Peter Obi, you will see that he is the man who can take Nigerians out of the woods. ” Mbaise is a great nation, they are highly knowledgeable, educated and very enterprising, and I believe they are solidly behind Mr. Peter Obi.”
The grassroot mobiliser and former commissioner for Foreign Affairs said agriculture occupies a front burner in Peter Obi’s leadership and that agriculture is the fastest and best way to feed ourselves. ” Peter Obi will mechanize agriculture in Nigeria. In Europe and America, most billionaires are farmers and that is what he wants to replicate in Nigeria, where people can be self sufficient, and also to solve the problem of insecurity,” he noted.
The Imo state coordinator of ‘The Big Tent’ was accompanied to the event by the Spokesperson of The Big Tent, Hon. Austin Okoro and other big wigs of the campaign organization.
Dignitaries who graced the event include, H.E. Prof. Viola Onwuliri, Mr Frank Nneji OON, His Lordship (rtd) Rose Noorka, Prof. Ginika Agulanna, Prof JohnKennedy Opara. Others are Major General Jack Ogunewe (rtd), Prof. Ibeabuchi Frank Amagwu, Dr Paul Onuoha and Professor Edward Oparaoji the convener, and more eminent personalities not mentioned here.
