…As Abia Fire Service Shuns Scene, blames lack of diesel

A strange fire razed down a High Court situated in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State today, destroying valuable documents in the building.

This is even as the people of the Local Government Council were having the second day of the Ahamefula Ikwuano Socio Economic Summit 2023, captioned ‘Sustainable Economic Development In Ikwuano: A Road Map For The 21 Century’, as organised by some prominent sons and daughters of the area.

According to an eyewitness, all efforts geared towards bringing a team of Abia State Fire Service down to the scene proved abortive.

According to the source, the State’s fore service blamed their inefficiency on lack of diesel.

According to a source who gave an analysis of the awful incident in a viral video, Abia State Fire Service bluntly refused to intervene over alleged lack of diesel.

Meanwhile, the immediate cause of the fire outbreak was yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

However, some Staff of the High Court could be seen, running helter-skelter to secure important documents and files in the office.
