Otiti, Uba Emerge Acting President, National Secretary of GOMEP

Port-Harcourt – The Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP) has announced the emergence of Comrade Akpovoke Otiti as Acting National President and Comrade Prince Clinton Uba as Acting National Secretary of the newly registered national body.

The organisation, officially registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission under Registration No. 9442173, said the leadership arrangement is interim and will last for six months, pending the conduct of a proper national election.

Comr. Otiti, Publisher of AjAZIRALReport Newspaper, Delta State, and Comrade Uba of News Mirror, Abia State, were selected to pilot the affairs of the organisation during the transitional period.

In a statement following their emergence, the acting leadership noted that the Guild is committed to promoting professionalism, unity, and ethical standards among online media practitioners across Nigeria.

The leadership further emphasized that membership of the Guild is open to all eligible and qualified online media editors and publishers nationwide, urging practitioners to join the organisation in building a credible and unified online media platform.

The Guild also assured members of transparent leadership and inclusive participation as preparations commence for the forthcoming national elections.
