“Reject Okowa’s Senate Bid Until He Explains Kwale Industrial Park Project” — GOMEP Boss, Otiti

“A project once promoted as a game-changing industrial revolution for Delta North is now facing renewed scrutiny. As political calculations ahead of future elections gather momentum, questions are being asked about what became of the ambitious Kwale Industrial Park and whether the people who were promised economic transformation have truly received it.”

“Public affairs commentator Otiti has urged Ndokwa people to carefully assess former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s reported Senate ambition, insisting that unresolved questions surrounding the Kwale Industrial Park project must be addressed first. He also challenged Delta State SSG Kingsley Emu to provide a comprehensive update on the project’s progress, investment inflows, job creation, and economic impact.”

” As conversations around future political contests begin to intensify in Delta North, fresh concerns have emerged over one of Delta State’s most publicized development initiatives. Abuja-based public affairs commentator Otiti has called on Ndokwa people to demand accountability from former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and key government officials over the Kwale Industrial Park project, arguing that voters deserve clear answers on the status, achievements, and economic benefits of the initiative before considering any future political endorsements.”

Otiti has urged the people of Ndokwa Nation to carefully scrutinize the political record of former Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and withhold support for his reported ambition to return to the National Assembly as Senator representing Delta North until critical questions surrounding the Kwale Industrial Park project are addressed.

The Abuja-based public affairs commentator said the former governor and members of his administration owe Ndokwa people a clear account of the long-promised industrial park, which was presented as a landmark economic development initiative expected to attract investments, stimulate industrial growth, and create thousands of jobs in the region.

According to Otiti, despite years of public assurances and investment promotion campaigns, many residents remain uncertain about the project’s actual level of development and the extent of its economic impact on host communities.

He specifically challenged the Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu, to provide a detailed update on the status of the project. He noted that substantial public resources were reportedly expended on investment drives, stakeholder engagements, and international marketing efforts aimed at attracting investors to the industrial park.

Otiti recalled that Delta State officials undertook several investment promotion missions, including visits to China and other foreign destinations, where the Kwale Industrial Park was showcased as a strategic investment destination capable of transforming the state’s industrial landscape.

While acknowledging recent government statements indicating that some infrastructure and industrial activities are emerging within the broader Kwale Industrial Park initiative, he maintained that legitimate questions remain regarding the pace of development and the extent to which the original objectives have been achieved.

“Public officials have a responsibility to account for projects funded with taxpayers’ money. Transparency and accountability are essential for sustaining public confidence in government programmes,” Otiti stated.

He further urged stakeholders across Delta North, particularly Ndokwa people, to demand verifiable information on investment inflows, job creation figures, operational industries, and the overall economic impact of the project before making future political decisions.

“The people deserve answers. The Kwale Industrial Park was presented as a game-changing project for our region. It is only fair that those who championed it tell the people exactly where the project stands today and what benefits have been delivered,” he added.

The comments are expected to further fuel debate over governance, accountability, and development promises in Delta North as political activities ahead of future elections gradually gather momentum.
