October 1: Unlike Rivers, Abians Celebrate Only 1 Flyover In 7-Yrs, Says LP Candidate, Mgeahuru Lampoons PDP
… Says New Abia Is Possible With Alex Otti

As Nigeria marked her 62nd Independence Anniversary, the Candidate for Osisioma Ngwa North State Constituency, in Abia South, Hon. Iheyinna Mgbeahuru (aka. the Bridge) has taken a swipe at the ruling party in Abia State and reassured Abians that 2023 would bring about a new dawn in their lives.

This is even as Nigerians had bluntly shunned every urge to dress up in their usual green white green outfit, a typical of Nigerians particularly while celebrating the annual October 1 event.

Reacting to the yearnings of Nigerians for good governance, Hon. Mgbeahuru wailed that Abians were not left out in the clarion call for impactful leadership that would restore their lost pride thereby causing them to have their first fresh air ever in the State.

The LP candidate stated this during an interface with newsmen in Umuahia, today, Sunday, October 2, as he noted that it was time for Abians to take back the state from some political profiteers, whom he described as the people’s oppressors.

The former Executive Chairman of Osisioma Local Government Area decried the poor state of Abians, lamenting that the people were at the verge of drowning from the spate of abnormalities ravaging the state ever since her creation.

Among other things The Bridge outlined that had thrown the people into utter dismay since the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) came into office were decaying infrastructure, non-payment of salaries and gratuities of workers and pensioners, respectively, and a glaring insensitivity towards a possible survival of the people, etc.

Furthermore, The Bridge who reminded Abians of a possible new Abia, decried the obvious failure of the State Government led by the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) to execute quality projects in the State that could outlive the present generation, having spent in seven years in office.

He bemoaned the piteous state of Aba, the commercial bane of the State, and regretted that the present administration of the People’s Democratic Party, under the leadership of Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, while lampooning the latter of having difficulties with completing a single flyover in the state, within his seven years in office.

Citing an example with other Governors in the sister states, Mgbeahuru pointed out that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State who was elected into office the same year as Ikpeazu and under the same political platform had successfully built twelve flyovers in three years “and we’re celebrating one flyover completed in seven years.”

He, therefore, called on Abians to massively support Labour Party, stating that God has raised unto them, a Joseph of the present day’s generation, hence Dr. Alex Otti, whom he assured had been chosen of God to deliver the State and it’s inhabitants from their fetters.

“I am calling on Abians to support Labour Party and have hope that Abia will be great again with Dr. Alex Otti come 2023. And I want to bring back their hope and to let them know that a New Abia is possible”, he reassured.

Speaking further, he described Alex Otti as a credible candidate who has the capability to, within the short sketch of time, replicate in Abia, similar massive development as witnessed in other States.

Meanwhile, famousreporters.com, millions of Nigerians across the country and in diaspora, on Saturday, October 1, resisted the usual desire to celebrate the country’s freedom from her Colonial Masters, as they all believed that Nigeria
