New Scam Alert: Beware Of Credit9ja Latest Blackmail
*A must read
It is very unfortunate how Nigeria government has continued to allow her citizens to be embarrassed, harrassed and blackmailed by a group of fraudsters who are operating freely within her environment to defraud unsuspecting victims in the name of a loan that neither follows due process or makes any atom of sense, for how could a people say they give you a loan of N6,000 and demand N10,000 within one week? But this is not even the bad part, the trauma is their desperation and method of retrieving the purported loan.
Today, a victim of their lasted scam formats contacted our medium to pour out discontentment on the manner Credit9ja handled him by spreading a false alert that he is HIV Positive over a purported loan he doesn’t know when he took it from them.
According to his narrative, the victim (Name withheld) said he spoke with one girl on phone around last week who practically begged him to take a loan from them which he turned down because he didn’t needed such oan, the girl kept persuading him until he downloaded Credit9ja App through a link she shared.
“I remember I spoke with one girl last week who was begging me to take a loan. I told her I don’t need a loan though had a job at hand, she convinced me to download their app which I did and registered. When I saw a loan of N6,000, I told her I don’t need that kind of loan.
“One week later, she called me to repay N10,000 which shocked me. I tried to reason with her to know how I later took the loan, the next thing was insult upon insults. As if that was not enough, they started sending FALSE ALERT to my contacts that I am HIV positive and has escaped from medical center, telling the public to report me sighting me so that I will apprehended and taken to the center (wherever it may be). This is way too much because Nigeria authority still allow people like this to litter the place unchecked.” he lamented.
The question on the lips of everyone now is:
1. Which Credit System in Nigeria gives loan of N6,000 and take N10,000 within one week, is it the CBN rule or just another window to defraud Nigerians?
2. Under which licensee are people like Credit9ja and their ilks are operating in Nigeria?
3. Is it the rule for Banks or Credit facilities to use their customer’s information the way it is being used by Credit9ja and co. Why are the DSS, EFCC, and sister agencies not tracking them down to prevent further damage to unsuspecting Nigeria Victims?
NOTICE:
Any person with useful information about these fraudsters and how to track and locate them should contact the DSS, or EFCC, or the nearest police station as the victim seeks to sue Credit9ja for blackmail and character defamation of a Nigerian citizen.
