Chuku Wachuku while he was NDE DG introduced real Empowerment to Nigeria. At that time he made skills acquisition the rave of the moment. It is on record that his administration trained 100,000 Nigerians anually in different skills and on completion, they were empowered by the Federal government to start up their own businesses. Sooner than later, they became employers of labour themselves.
As a visionary young leader at the time, he attracted and built the biggest NDE office in Nigeria at Ubakala, in-between Isiala Ngwa North and Umuahia. That office employed a lot of our people. He did not stop there. He attracted and built NDE skills acquisition and training centre in Mbawsi, his home town. It is still there today. That gave a lot of our people the opportunity to access government presence.
As the DG, 60 per cent of NDE workforce were Igbos. Out of the Igbos, 70 percent were Ngwa people. Today, a lot of people are employed courtesy of the man I want you to support.
Not long ago, as a Consultant Economist, he wrote the Federal Government and accessed 1 billion naira Agric Loan which he judiciously distributed to Abians. Till today, he is one of the few Nigerians that are not on EFCC watch list.
Interestingly, hundreds and hundreds of Abias, benefited from the Agric Loan Scheme and today they have been able to stabilize their agricultural activities.
On the flip side, Senate power is returning to Umunneato from IKwuan/Umuahia bloc. In Umunneato, Isiala Ngwa South took their turn with Bob Nwannunu from 1999 to 2003, Osisioma Ngwa did their turn with Nkechi Nworgu from 2007 to 2015. Isiala Ngwa North should be supported to have their turn in 2023.
Chuku Wachuku is the only one contesting for the Senate Seat of Abia Central Zone from Isiala Ngwa North. Above all, he is the most experienced and competent candidate among all those in the race. Senate is meant for the elderly and experienced people and he is one.
