The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike,, against all odds was crowded by not just by Apc members but Abians who are equally tired of the wrought that leadership represents in the state.
This is even as Ikechi Emenike, has assured Abians that the era of unemployment of qualifed youths will be over if elected governor.
Emenike made the promise during the flag off of the governorship tour in Ikwuano, assuring that the youths would no longer be addressed as leaders of tomorrow, ” I want to state clearly here that 70% of what we intend to do when elected into office is geared towards youth upliftment. My government will build blocks of development that will in turn creat jobs for teaming youths. Let say this, your tomorrow as a youth starts the day I am sworn in as governor”, he assured.
Emenike, while thanking the people of Ikwuano for their show of love assured them of proper position in his cabinet,”we will not forget in a hurry your hospitality and the manner we were welcomed, it is obvious that we all have become victims of bad governance in Abia and we are poised to change it. Ikwuano is Apc, demonstrate it at the coming poll starting from the presidential to the governorship elections”. He pleaded.
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of State for Science, technology and Innovation, Chief Henry Ikoh, the APC local government chairman, Chinedum Adindu and Emeka Atuma, all admitted that leadership in Abia had failed woefully making life miserable for the masses.
They called on their people to vote Ikechi Emenike and all candidates under their platform, saying that the governorship candidate is a man who has come to make the difference, to Rescue and Develop Abia.
