*See Verifiable Past and present Records
By Charity Uwakwe
Revd. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu, the State House of Assembly candidate for Umuahia North Constituency is a man with impeccable record, who stands most qualified among all of his counterparts.
He is currently the coordinator of National Anti-Corruption Volunteer Corps (NAVC), of Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, (ICPC) and already has his name written in gold.
Having served and still serves in different capacities, the ADC’s Candidate has proven to be a man of reputation, whose integrity is evidently rated ‘second to none’, little wonder the recognition done on him by the leadership of ICPC.
Coming from religious background, Rev. Amalambu has sworn not to be found wanting in any form of disreputable act, hence transparency, uprightness, sincerity and service to mankind have over the years, remained his watchword.
To Rev. Amalambu, service to humanity means service to God, hence he is ever ready to passionately ameliorate the penury of many through his near free tuition fees he runs using his Famous ‘Joefavour International School’ situated at Umuagu, in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
Saying that Revd. Amalambu is magnanimity personified is an understatement. He has at different points alleviated the suffering of many especially by offering education from nursery to secondary to as many indigents pupils as have been admitted into his school.
Indisputable remains the fact that, with Amalambu in the State House of Assembly, healing shall come upon the land of Abia State, in all ramifications.
Amalambu is well lettered; his unflinching commitment to supporting and promoting the truth is unbeatable.
Below are some of the outstanding
outstanding positions held so far and fantastic accomplishments in Abia State:
(a) In the year 2000, Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu was elected the secretary Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Abia Central Zone. On assumption of office, he worked assiduously with other Exco members and brought a renowned servant of God-Reinhard Bonkee to Umuahia in 2004.
(b) In the year 2007, a Federal body, the Independent CorruptPractices and other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) appointed Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu as the State Secretary for National Anti-Corruption Volunteer Corps (NAVC). As a corruption fighter, he was so outstanding that the commission (ICPC) appointed him the Acting State Coordinator of the Corps in 2012. This position afforded Rev. Amalambu the opportunity to fight for the oppressed and the intimidated in the society.
Let us get down to memory lane:
i. One education secretary in Umuahia North LGA made a copsided appointments which is against the Civil Service rules. She appointed junior — teaching staff (level O8-10) to head u schools with senior teaching staff (level = 12-15) with these appointments; Junior = Officers became heads over Senior e officers. It was Rev. Dr. Blessed E Uchechukwu Amalambu that reversed C those uncivilized appointments.
ii. In Michael Okpara University of is Agriculture Umudike certain students r (2005, 2006 and 2007batches) in the v department of Nutrition and dietetics were kept in the school for te maximum number of years(10, 9 and 8) tl respectively. It was Rev. Dr. Blessed it Uchechukwu Amalambu that intervened A in 2015 and the students were all passed Cc out in 2016. In the year 2017, the d National Co-ordinator from ICPC Abuja B Aeciaread Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Pp Amalambu as the best co-ordinator for A the year in the whole federation d (Nigeria).
© In the year 2015, Rev. Dr. Blessed U Uchechukwu Amalambu was elected as Ir the State Secretary Pentecostal p Fellowship of Nigeria(PFN) Abia State tl Chapter. Through this position, God h has used Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu p Amalambu to defend the Church of Christ Cc in remarkable ways. When the Chairman M of the Local Government Areas of Abia oO State circulated demand notices for U Churches and Gospel Ministries to start p paying levies tagged church Mv establishment fee, which led to dragging fc some churches in Abia to Court for non compliance, it was Rev. Dr. Blessed It Uchechukwu Amalambu that spear R headed the discussionwiththe State d Government along side with the Exco of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to stop it. The public debate on FLO FM Umuahia was between the Chairman of Board of Internal Revenue for Abia State Government and Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu for the Church. By
the grace of God, the Church prevailed through our God fearing Governor, the levy was scraped.AbillH.A.B 60 2018 which
sought to compel places of public gathering (churches, schools, restaurants, hotels and banks) to install Closed Circuit Television (CCTV).
This bill was presented for public hearing before passing it into law. What made this bill a matter of public concern was the severe punishments for non
compliance (fine ranged from N30,000.00
to N100,000.00). During public hearing at the Abia State House of Assembly Umuahia, it was Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu that logically argued for the Church why the bill would not be feasible due to its installation and maintenance cost. By the grace of God Rev. Amalambu’s presentation at the Abia State House of Assembly prevailed and the bill was dropped.
This man, Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu has beyond measure fought for the common good of the people. In his community Umuyota Alaike, the legacy he left behind is still speaking for him. The Civic hall and the electrical projects he headed in collaboration with the CSDP Abia State. To this effect, the State Manager of CSDP through his co-ordinating officer, declared Rev. Dr. Blessed Uchechukwu Amalambu as the best performing Community Project Management Committee (CPMC) Chairman for the year 2018.
This is, therefore, a clarion call to every lover of good governance in Umuahia North to ensure that this man who has no stain in his past and present records is brought to corridors of power. This will not only eliminate corruption in the land but also give the Constituency a facelift, thus making it a seat of excellence in the history of Abia State.
A vote for Revd. Dr. Blessed Amalambu is a vote for liberation from poor representation.
