Man Dies While Fighting Pregnant Wife Over Miniskirt

Pandemonium struck recently in Adamawa State, as a man gave up the ghost during a struggle with his pregnant wife, over a mini skirt.

The domestic quarrel over a miniskirt regrettably led to the tragic death of the man.

The awful incident took place on the night of June 13, 2024, at Faram Faram village, situated at Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Reportedly, Mr. Patrick John, the deceased upon returning home from a drinking spot discovered that his pregnant wife, Maryam, wore a pair of miniskirts.

It was learnt that Patrick had initially warned his wife sternly against wearing the piece of clothing which he perceived was offensive. This sight triggered a heated argument between the couple.

According to reports, the argument escalated when Patrick allegedly held Maryam by the neck.

Reacting to the seemingly unanticipated attack from her husband, pregnant Maryam struggled to free herslf from her husband’s grip as she cried out to draw the attention of their neighbours.

Luck smiled at her, as their neighbours intervened and separated the couple. However, Patrick reportedly returned later and resumed his attack on Maryam.

In an attempt to defend herself, Maryam picked up a hoe and struck Patrick on the forehead. Patrick was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, Maryam has been arraigned in court on charges of culpable homicide. During her hearing at the Chief Magistrate Court 2 in Yola, presided over by Magistrate Musa Alhaji Adamu, Maryam pleaded guilty but claimed she acted in self-defense. The judge ordered her remand and adjourned the case to July 10, 2024.
