Late Caroline Amaechi Goes Home, Rep. Onuigbo Commiserates With Family
The member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency, and the Abia Central Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rep. Sam Onuigbo and his wife, Pastor Princess Chinyere Onuigbo, were at Inyila, Ibere, Ikwuano Local Government Area, for the funeral service of Late Mrs. Caroline Ngozi Amaechi, mother of Mr. Odiwonma Amaechi, and to condole with the entire Amaechi family as they laid their mother to rest.
In his funeral sermon, Rev. Enoch Matthew reminded the congregation of the futility of life, and cautioned all not to get carried away by worldly possessions and positions.
He stressed that many who have attained leadership positions use their positions to intimidate and oppress the masses, forgetting that both life and power are transient. He charged them to rather use these privileges for the benefit of God and humanity.
In his condolence message, Rep Sam Onuigbo concurred with the man of God. He stated that while many leaders have left much to be desired, his stewardship in past positions, and presently as the representative of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency is proof that he and his wife are exceptions to this trend in poor leadership, promising that by the grace of God, he would replicate and improve on this quality representation as the senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District. He implored them to go and pick up their PVCs and to vote wisely.
Rep Onuigbo, reminding the congregation of the inevitability of death, charged them to live with love, forgiveness, brotherhood and respect for each other. He prayed that God will grant the bereaved family the strength to bear this huge and irreplaceable loss.
Rep Sam Onuigbo was accompanied by his Chief Liaison Officer, Evang. Abraham Osondu; Mr. Chukwuemeka Uchegbu, former Ikwuano PDP Secretary; Chief Mrs. Ego Nwamuo, former Education Secretary, Ikwuano LGA and Evang. Salome Isikaku.
Other dignitaries at the occasion were HRM Sir. Prof. Ezeudo Samuel and Ugwueze Catherine Ifenwanta, the traditional ruler of Ugwu-Ibere Autonomous Community; Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi, the member representing Ikwuano State Constituency; Hon Obinna Okey, Commissioner for Inter-government affairs and many others.
