JUST IN: Sheikh, Imam of Owo is dead
The Chief Imam of Owo and Chairman of the Ondo State League of Imams and Alfas, Sheikh Ahmad Aladesawe, joined his ancestors at the age of 91.

Kamorudeen Ishola, a Muslim leader in Owo, during an interview with newsmen.
According to the Muslim leader, stating that Sheikh Aladesawe departed to the world underworld on Monday evening at the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, in Ondo State.
The remains of Imam are said to be returned to mother earth in line with Islamic rites at today, in his hometown of Owo, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO) in Ondo State also expressed condolences to his family, the Owo Muslim community, and the nation over the loss.
Abdulwaasii Yusuf, State Missioner of NACOMYO, said in a statement that the entire Muslim youth would deeply miss Sheikh Aladesawe.

Sheikh Aladesawe before his passing served as the Secretary General of Imams and Alfas in the South West, Edo, and Delta States.
He was widely admired for his contributions to the growth of Islam and peace-building efforts across Ondo State and beyond
