Isuikwuato Drum Support For Kalu, Promises Re-election
What was supposed to be a campaign, tuned celebrations and praises from left, right, front and the very center of the stage.
The people of Isuikwuato could not hide the intensity of their patriotism. The young and the old, while the children watched their parents pay back to the road builder Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, with all their prosit and gratitude.
On the first day, six of the ABSEC wards, Imenyi 1 ward 1, Ezere ward 2, Isiala ward 3, Isuamawu ward 4, Oguduasa ward 5 and Umunnekwu ward 6, all felt the presence of their Senator, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu.
On the second and third day, Orji Kalu’s campaign team reached out to and Achara ward 7, Ikeagha 1 ward 8, Ikeagha 2 ward 9, ABSU/Umuanyi ward 10, Umuasua ward 11, Obilohia wars 12, Mgbelu Umunnekwu ward 13, Imenyu 2 ward 14, Ovim ward 15, Acha/Amachara ward 16, Nunya/Amaiyi Obilohia ward 17, Ndundu ward 18, Ugwuele/ Mbaugwu ward 19, Isunabo ward 20 and Onuaku ward 21.
In a more profound, spectacular and most dynamic way to campaign, reaching the people in their wards as sculptured by ABSEC, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, submitted his report card which was already celebrated before his arrival by the people. The need and stress to beg the people for votes was unnecessary as Orji Kalu’s commitments to work for the people, speak volume enough. The people of Isuikwuato, welcomed Distinguish Senator Kalu, with so much respect as they came out en mass to thank him for all he had done for their communities within a short time.
Like the insatiable wants of man, knowing how well Dr Orji Uzor Kalu, can be trusted and relied on, the people expressed their willingness to vote and return him to the Senate. They spoke through their ward chairmen and community leaders in one voice.
Remarkably, they want Orji Kalu, to continue what he stated. the people of Isuikwuato, also wished those that had represented them in the past had done half of what they’re experiencing, which they have not had, from the Federal government as well as the state government of Abia, in a long while.
Characterized in this campaigns are testimonies and side talks like, “whether Orji Kalu come for campaign or not, we will vote for you” some said “good man with a good heart, we are praying for you, you’re the best”. Some also said, “he paid us salary every 25th or 26th of the month, as a governor” while others said “they will eat their money and still vote Orji Kalu”.
All these positive reactions for a man whom people see nothing good in all he does. No wonder it is said that “ No Matter What a Man Does, He Can Not Please All”. Holding on to this psychological school of thought, it can be inferred that Orji Uzor Kalu, is more loved than hated in Abia North.
The story painted of Orji Kalu, by the people of Isuikwuato, in his few moments with them, shows that he is well accepted with confidence. The reasons for electing Orji Kalu, in 2019, paid off in good dividends of democracy in an unbelievable measures and the people of Isuikwuato, vowed to see to the re-election of competency, accountability, insightful and a productive Senator, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu.
