Impersonation: I Cannot Ask for Money to Provide Empowerment or Employment— Rep. Onuigbo Warns

In a swift reaction to the rumour making the rounds in one of the Social Media handles, the member representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rep. Sam Ifeanyichukwu Onuigbo has urged the general public to discard the information from a certain individual is currently impersonating the Lawmaker, thereby demanding money for the provision of employment into the Federal Inland Revenue Services, saying he cannot ask for money to provide employment or empowerment.

Odozi-Obodo reiterated that his empowerment and training programmes would always be FREE, devoid of any money related condition.

He said: “According to the information I received, they have moved from promising to provide Agricultural Loans to the people at a cost, to now demanding money for the provision of employment into the Federal Inland Revenue Services.”

This was disclosed in a disclaimer signed by the Legislator and made available to Famous Reporters by his Media Aide, Comr. Nnaemeka Oruh, today, advising the populace particularly his constituents to discard such misinformation, as his programmes which are geared towards making better the lots of the people is without any form of financial involvement.

The Disclaimer read:

“My attention has been drawn to the fact that criminal elements have been using my name, position, and photograph to defraud innocent citizens.

“According to the information I received, they have moved from promising to provide Agricultural Loans to the people at a cost, to now demanding money for the provision of employment into the Federal Inland Revenue Services.

“I will like to state clearly that I WILL NEVER ask for money to provide any form of employment or empowerment for my constituents or any other person. My empowerment and training programmes are FREE.

“It is also important to point out that I DO NOT own or operate a Facebook ACCOUNT. What I operate is a Facebook Page with the name “Rep. Sam Ifeanyi Onuigbo”.

“This matter has been reported to security agencies who are now conducting their investigations with the aim of apprehending the culprits.

“Please, it is important to me that you take note of this.

“Once again, I CANNOT ask for money to provide employment or empowerment, or in fact to do any favours for anybody.

“May God guide us all.
