IKWUANO/UMUAHIA FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY: Why Ndi Ohuhu Should Support Obi Aguocha (Part 2)
… I see looming danger

By Stephen Ezeniro, Enugu

At the beginning of the current democracy in 1999, Ohuhu people were prominent politically in Abia, in fact they played prominent roles in policy formulation in the state.

Our leaders like Hon. Chief Chris Osuagwu, Ikoro Sir Onyema Ugochukwu, Ikoro sir Empire Kanu, High Chief Uzodinma Okpara (Ome ka nnaya) among many others, few years down the line are no where to be found.

At least, His Excellency Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, during his tenure, accorded the people of Ohuhu their right of place, hence they remained relevant up until His Excellency, Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, from Ibeku took over power in 2007.

Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji, in one of his statements, once said; that “Ohuhu people should wait for others to see the light as they have seen”; This statement was not taken ‘with a pinch of salt’ as no one cared to bat an eye at the literal translation. However, as T.A’s administration continued as if by a deliberate policy, slowly but steadily, all the political gladiators from Ohuhu were unceremoniously rubbished and eventually retired.

Governor TA Orji, governed Abia for 8 years, went to senate immediately after and his son Chinedum Orji went to the state house of assembly. He became the Majority Leader of the house and today he is the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly.

Not done with humiliating the Ohuhus, the son of the immediate past governor of Abia State and current Senator representing Abia Central senatorial zone, came out to contest the position that is by equity, justice and fairness, for NdiOhuhu.

Paraventure, Ohuhu fails to produce the next Federal House of Representatives member, it will mark the end of their political adventure. Psychologically they will be defeated. Not only that any politician within the age of 15years and above have automatically been retired.

Again, it will take Ndi Ohuhu another 24 years before the position of Federal House of Representatives will return to Umuahia North.

Here’s the calculation; by the next 24 years, his 11-year-old son will be 35-years then, and of course, nothing stops him from taking it, using the same divide and rule they have deployed to destabilize the once Ohuhu huru uzo.

Therefore, considering that High Chief Obi Aguocha of the Labour Party has the advantage of emerging victorious, why should Ohuhu people not line up behind him.

Ohuhu shine your eye, Ohuhu lekwa ariri; Ohuhu do not allow the few with personal grudges and working for their pockets destroy Ohuhu’s development and mobile.

To be forewarned is to be forearmed!!

High Chief Obi Aguocha of the Labour Party is a goal!!

Watch out for part three…
