“On behalf of our people, I want to advise you to focus on the project! do not deviate from your purpose and endeavour to stick to your promises.
“We’re solidly behind you because this is our project. All we want is for you to represent us and the entire Ikwuano. It is not easy to embark on this project and our prayer is that your vision will be actualised”, he prayed. We will give him the needed support to enable him achieve your aim.

“However, your is not Umuariaga, rather you should take your good message to others. We’re not interested in your party but all you have to know is that we want you there. So, you have our support. Because, it’s easier to access the Government when your person is in office”, he added.

Corroborating, Comrd. Kanu Nelson Chigbu, a youth of the Community pledged the relentless support of the youths to deliver the candidate at the various polls.

“My prayers and wishes for my brother who is contesting for the State House is for God to see him through the whole process and grant him success at last.

He lamented their outright feeling of disappointment in Nwabuisi, saying, “honestly, without anybody saying what is going on, if we can only go round this village, you will find out that even before entering your house, you have to cross bad road and this is because of erosion.

“A lot of promises that the incumbent made yet he never fulfilled any. They came, begged for our support and we gave them but they could not fulfil their promises to us. We in Umuariaga are very very disappointed in Stanley Nwabuisi.

Meanwhile, he appealed passionately to the candidate to endeavour to make ‘his word his bond’ upon emergence to the State
Assembly.

He pledged to work assiduously and collaboratively with other youths of the community to ensure a resounding victory for the APP candidate.

“By the grace of God, he’s our brother and we’re going to come out in mass to vote for him.
We the youths are praying that God will see him through this journey and lead him to the promise land. And as a youth, my humble request is that God will give him the grace to be able to remember to fulfill all of his promises to the people of Umuariaga and the entire Ikwuano in general.

Responding, the APP candidate expressed immense joy over the warm reception, while reassuring them of the envisaged glimmers of hope for the people and Ikwuano.

Lan reminded that the Community had, over the years, been relegated to the background, pointing out that none among them had been elected into office since the creation of the lkwuano, nor had the Council enjoyed an effective representation in the State.

Moreso, the prospective State House member expressed acrimony over the penurious state of living among the people of Ikwuano, inspite of their recognition as the food bane of the Council, as he recounted on the massive agricultural produce particularly the cash crops.

Lamenting, he said: “No one will look at Ikwuano, Oboro and Umuariaga and applaud the state of things. There’s so much suffering in our land. We have vibrant youths who are graduates and skillful in different professions in Ikwuano, yet those talents can’t be harnessed due to poor representation.”

“He, therefore, informed that the errors of the past could, as much be corrected if the right steps are channeled towards the right direction, as he puts it:
“I want to urge us to come together and correct the errors so as to secure the future of our youths. And I want to conclude by stating that no one, family or Community has monopoly of leadership.”

Meanwhile, he restate that the party had come to save not only the Council but also the State, as he implored all Ikwuano to have confidence in the governorship hopeful, Dr. Mascot Uzor Kalu, whom he posited had to wipe away tears from their eyes.

In addition, Hon. Kanu Amaechi of Umudike, the local government chairman of the party, while interacting with newsmen, described the APP candidate as Godsent who has the mandate to rescue the people from their protracted abject poverty through industrialization of the area.

“Well, I don’t have much problem because I have been in the business for long and my members are intact; the entire executives of the party in the Council is fully charged and ready to swing into actions.

“Grassroots politics matters a lot, it’s not money politics and it’s grassroots politics we are doing from now till the end of this journey.

He, therefore, advised the people of Ikwuano not to sell their birthrights, stressing that “they have to vote their conscience and it has to be somebody that will deliver which I believe that both the Governorship and House of Assembly candidates are the right candidates. They’re on the right track and have to succeed, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
