The candidate of Young People’s Party, YPP for Ikwuano State Constituency of Abia State, in the forthcoming 2023 election has vowed to make Ikwuano a second to none among other local governments in Nigeria, thereby promoting the people’s agricultural produce and bringing same to limelight.
This forms the major component of Ajiri’s manifesto, as he promises, among other benefits, to deploy his entrepreneurial efficiency in making the council the commercial bane of the state and country in general, through farming, thereby eradicating unemployment.
Below is the manifesto of the illustrious son of Ikwuano which reads as follows:
A rare personality, whose time is now!
Hon. Ajiri is a great and experienced Entrepreneur, Business owner, Trader and a Farmer, creating job and employment opportunities for our youths.
He is the owner of Canister Petroleum, and OHABS bottle and sachet water.
He is an active Cocoa trader in Ibere and also the first person that moved over 3 tons of Cocoa from Ibere Ikwuano to Lagos where they were sold.
He supports his fellow Cocoa farmers by making available needed farm chemicals (insecticides, pesticides, etc.) for free to them.
He owns a large commercial Rice farm and invest a lot in rice farming and production.
Currently, he is setting up a Garri factory (which he named ‘Ikwuano Garri’ ). This factory we will be buying cassava from farms, process it into garri and will be well-packaged for sales (2kg, 5kg etc). It will be sold in Shoprites, Market Squares, etc.
When elected, he will use his office to facilitate collaboration with the executive arm of government to support farmers through purchase of seedlings, implements, insecticides and equipment for primary processing and storage, attract more investments and facilitate gainful employment, enhance the supply chain of Ikwuano Constituency and Abia State in general, hence ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns.
Hon. Ajiri’s strong passion and love for education attest to the fact that he understood that education is the centre of Human Capital Development. Human capital allows an economy to grow. When human capital increases in areas such as education, science, industry and management, it leads to increases in innovation, social well-being, increased productivity, improved rates of participation, all of which contribute to economic growth.
His contribution to the education sector would include but not limited to:
> Provision of scholarships to indigent students of his constituency that will cut across Nigeria’s educational structure.
> Establishment of free educational coaching centres for learners preparing for external examinations such as Basic Entrance Certificate Examination (BECE), WAEC, NECO, UTME etc.
> Provision of visual aids, teaching/instructional materials e.g multimedia components, textbooks, IP boards, desktop computers and laptops.
He is well equipped and ready to take a leadership role in the education sector, ensuring quality and equitable education for every child in Ikwuano.
His aim for contesting for the seat is solely based on improving the people’s welfare and bringing about social justice. Obviously, the attainment of these aforementioned goals will bring about improvement in the standard of living and general well-being of the people of Ikwuano. He will leave no stone unturned in enhancing the growth and development of the constituency.
Indeed, Hon. Ajiri Alozie is a rare personality and the most competent candidate for the leadership role in the State House of Assembly, Ikwuano constituency come 2023.
