IKECHI EMENIKE’S GOVERNORSHIP TOUR: Shun Discrimination, Vote All APC Candidates, Ikoh Charges Ikwuano
*Anyone identifying with PDP is a witch… Atuma
*Says Abia is caged
As the 2023 Presidential and National Assembly election crawls in, the Minister for State, Science, Technology and Innovation, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh has charged
the people of Ikwuano LGA of Abia State to shun sentiments and discrimination but rather vote all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in its entirety.
Chief Ikoh gave this charge at the APC’s Governorship flag off tour, held yesterday, at Ndoro Primary School, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State, describing the council as a formidable family in APC.
Ikoh who stated assuredly that Ikwuano shall in her totality, vote every candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming general elections, urged the people to shun rancour, malice hatred but embrace peace and love in their dealings, to ensure that all APC candidates emerge victorious in the exercise.
“Ikwuano is one formidable family in APC and we shall vote APC ???? from beginning till end. We shall win. We have our incoming Governor today, in our midst. And all our candidates, we shall vote them all so that APC will win.
“I, therefore, urge you to shun discrimination. Please, do not discriminate, stay in peace and act in peace because it is through the victory of all the candidates of APC that we can enjoy the dividends of democracy both in Abia State and our land, Ikwuano.
The Ozurumba 1 of Ikwuano and CEO of Harmony Foam Industry described the party’s governorship candidate, High Chief Ikechi Emenike as ‘a round peg in a round hole’ while imploring the people to endeavour to give the latter their bulk votes while extending same to all other candidates of the party.
“Our candidate is a worthy man and the only one who can make better the State look like other sister-states because there’s usually the tendency to weep when one looks out of place compared to others.”
“As you support our Guber Candidate who has kicked off his campaign today in Ikwuano, as a show of his love for us, so we must replicate same love by massively giving him our votes, well as all other of our candidates. And in doing so, the Almighty God shall bless us all”, he prayed.
In his remarks, the party leader, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma likened any politician with the identity of the ruling party in the State, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) to a witch, as he sternly warned the people of Ikwuano against voting anyone of the party’s member.
Atuma further advised that underperforming politicians in the area should not be voted, alleging that the people had been in bondage as inflicted on them by “selfish” politicians, whom he accused of discarding issues that pertain to the people.rt
Atuma enjoined the people to support the governorship candidate, whom he described as a people oriented leader, stressing that APC is the only party with the capability to eradicate poverty from among them.
Hear him: “These ones that have not performed in the land of Ikwuano, we’re not going to go with else Ikwuano will go on and be a poverty Capital place. We shall support prosperity and that prosperity is in the hand of High Chief Ikechi Emenike. That prosperity is in the hands of people that have come together to change Abia. Abia is masculated; Abia is caged. We walked out of the People’s Democratic Party by ourselves and anyone that’s identified with that party is one that could be referred to as a witch.
They are not talking about the people rather about their pockets because they came into this to make themselves rich. But we assure you that your lives must change. We’ll change them and the only way we can change them is by identifying with APC.
“If Bola Ahmed Tinubu becomes a President and Emeka Atuma is not a Senator, it doesn’t make sense. The same Federal government will come to Ikwuano. With High Chief Ikechi Emenike, Ikwuano will see development, Ikwuano will see the impact of governance. For eight years, Ikwuano has been the weakest link in Abia State.
“My appeal to my people is, I enjoy overwhelming support from my people”, as he urged them to replicate same in the life of the gubernatorial candidate.
Adding, Atuma said: “We’ll vote him because he has plans for the people, we’ll vote him because he doesn’t want to make Abia a poverty Capital and we are aware that Ikwuano is part of the capital territory”, he reminded them, while assuring that their suffering would be terminated in 2023.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, amidst ecstasy, reiterated that the choice of Ikwuano as a kick off ground for the tour was an indication of their unwavering belief in the people
He, therefore, enjoined the people to keep fit and remain resolute and steadfast in the course they have chosen, hence their confidence in the party, saying, “all we’re doing is anchored in God.
Continuing, he said: “We have come to encourage the people of Ikwuano to remain steadfast in their support for the party and improve their support too, in order to ensure our victory.
Describing Emenike as ‘second to none’ in comparison to other candidates, Ononogbu added:
“Emenike is the best compared to other candidates. He is pure and innocent and has not been found guilty of embezzlement or misappropriation of public’s funds, unlike other guber candidates.
“APC will rescue the state and Ikechi Emenike will block every hole from which our monies are being stolen.”
