“I bought form for Senate, won primaries- Rep. Onuigbo Insists
…As APC substitutes name for Atuma
Rep. Sam Onuigbo, Member representing Ikwuano Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State has cried out over the treacherous act of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the recently concluded Senatorial primary election, which had his name substituted for Hon. Emeka Atuma.
Famousreporters.com reports that Onuigbo emerged as the winner of the primary election as APC’s senatorial candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district by defeating his counterpart, Chief Henry Ikoh 157 to 152.
Conversely, Hon Atuma had contested for the governorship and came second in the governorship primary election with 150 votes to the 672 votes won by the winner, Ikechi Emenike
However, the substitution of Onuigbo for Atuma as the authentic Senatorial flag bearer of APC in the Senatorial District has elicited reactions, as many wonder the why of the seemingly conspiracy.
This is even as the APC, on Friday wielded the big stick of party supremacy on Rep Sam Onuigbo as it failed to submit his name as its candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district.
In a shocking replay of the lingo, ‘ The more you look, the less you see’, Rep Sam Onuigbo’s name was uploaded to INEC’s server as its candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, whereas Hon Emeka, a former governorship aspirant was listed as the party’s candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district.
Responding tersely to the rising curiosity, Hon Atuma, described the development as “party decision’

However, in his reaction, Rep Onuigbo has insisted on clinching the Senatorial ticket which he won, lamenting that he only bought and participated in the Senatorial primary election and not the House of Representatives which is being imposed on him.
: “I bought form for Senate, contested in the primary with Chief Henry Ikoh and won. I didn’t participate in the primary election for Reps.”
