Governor Fintiri Presents Staff of Office to First Tol Hoba … Receives title of MIDALA of Hoba Chiefdom

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially presented the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Barr. Alheri Bulus Nyako, as the first Tol Hoba of the newly created Hoba Chiefdom.

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Governor Fintiri who highlighted the historical significance of the event, explained that the Hoba Kingdom existed in pre-colonial Nigeria.

He, however, noted that the kingdom was later on reduced to a district.

The Governor applauded the people of Hoba for their resilience over their century-long struggle for a graded chiefdom.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, emphasizing that the creation of new emirates and chiefdoms aims to promote unity, strengthen local governance, and enhance security.

He also urged the new monarch to unite all ethnic groups under his rule and harness both education and sports for the development of the region.

Highlight of the event was the conferment of the prestigious title of MIDALA of Hoba Chiefdom (Defence Minister), a perceived effort geared towards intensifying the Governor’s bond with the people of Hong by the the 38th Tol Hoba to the Governor, a perceived effort geared towards intensifying the Governor’s bond with the people of Hong.
