Gov Wike is responsible for killing of IPOB in Obigbo… Royal Father *Insists on evidence of allegations against IPOB

The immediate past Chairman,  Umuahia North Council of Traditional Rulers, Abia state has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State of instilling the current brutal killing of armless members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) living in Obigbo LGA of Rivers State.

HRM Eze Pst. Amb. (Dr.) Philip Ajomiwe, Ndu 1 of Oriendu while speaking with Famous Reporters, yesterday, at Ubaha-Oriendu, his palace, condemned vehemently the raiding of homes of the Igbo nation in the area and killing of occupants without mercy as allegedly instructed by the governor.

Dazed by the rate of bloodbath perpetrated by the Military in Obigbo, the traditional ruler urged the Soldiers to desist from the wickedness and vacate the land, maintaining that the area has been peaceful over the years, hence they are not at war, whatsoever, and as such are not needed.

Hear him: “I’m shocked that the Military men are beating up and shooting people dead. Are we in war front, or are we in Sambisa Forest or Northeast where they are fighting with Boko Haram. These Army that are going from house to house killing people, why don’t they go to Sambisa Forest and the Northern parts where Boko Haram is killing people. Personally, I’m not happy that my own brothers there are being killed by Boko Haram. This Army should go there and face them and not here that is peaceful.

Continuing, the Royal Father and Chairman, Abia state Pipeline Surveyance and Gas implored President Mohammadu Buhari to withdraw the troop from the area, while reminding her that the aim of constituting the Arm Force is to maintain peace and order and not to kill innocent citizens as has been the order of the day.

“I am not in support of what is happening in Obigbo. Why are they taking lives? Why moving from house to house killing people? I’m personally calling on President Mohammadu Buhari; he should call the Army to order. They should withdraw from the killing, they’re there to maintain peace and order.”

The Chairman, De- Philajoms Agro  Nig. Ltd who questioned the authenticity of the alleged killing, looting and wanton destruction of property by members of IPOB, insisted that a thorough investigate must be conducted before anyone could level allegations of such on any group or individual.

The traditional ruler who also doubles as a Minister of the gospel regretted that rather than proscribe the Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen who have been terrorising the entire nation, the Nigerian government had wrongfully proscribed the IPOB, as well as overtime, held same responsible for crimes they probably are innocent of.

“Yes, some people have been killed which I personally condemned but I don’t know who the hoodlums are.
They are accusing the IPOB but I don’t know who the people are. You know, since they proscribed the IPOB, they are now always talking about IPOB, IPOB and yet they have not proscribed Boko Haram and all those killers in our country. So, any little thing, they’ll accuse IPOB, but only God knows. My own view is that, until they get the people, have facts, that’s when people like us will believe that these are the people who truly did  it.

“We really need facts to prove that those hoodlums at Obigbo are truly IPOB, they should investigate them and know if truly they were the people that carried out the havoc and not to start killing them because investigation has not revealed that these are the people who did the killings at Obigbo, because we have not been told, investigations have not revealed those behind the act.

Eze Ajomiwe who in state of indignation consequent on the agonies and pains inflicted on innocent residents of Obigbo dared the governor of Rivers State and the Federal government to produce evidence to back up their little assumptions.

“A lot of people are living at Obigbo, both Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and other ethics are living there. So, now, we can’t draw to a conclusion that they are IPOB so let them investigate properly. Before you come to tell us that these are the people that did it, investigate first.
