GOMEP-NG to Honour Abdulrazaq Tayibu for Business Leadership, Humanitarian Service

From business leadership to humanitarian service, Abdulrazaq Tayibu is set to receive national recognition from GOMEP-NG for his contributions to entrepreneurship and philanthropy.

ABUJA — In recognition of his contributions to business development and humanitarian service, renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist Abdulrazaq Tayibu is set to receive the Distinguished Business Leadership and Humanitarian Excellence Award from the Guild of Online Media Editors and Publishers of Nigeria (GOMEP-NG).

Tayibu will receive the honour at the Guild’s forthcoming Annual Conference, Lecture and Workshop, following an assessment of his professional achievements and philanthropic contributions by the organisation’s six-member Awards Committee.

The committee was constituted by GOMEP-NG National President, Comrade Akpovoke Otiti, to identify individuals whose work has made a significant impact on business, national development and humanitarian service.

Announcing the decision in Abuja, the Secretary of the Awards Committee, Prince Clinton Uba, said Tayibu emerged as a deserving recipient after a comprehensive review of his achievements across entrepreneurship, construction, engineering, finance, renewable energy and philanthropy.

Uba said the committee was particularly impressed by Tayibu’s record of corporate excellence, visionary leadership and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people through the EL-TAYIB Foundation and other community-focused initiatives.

He explained that the award recognises Nigerians whose professional accomplishments and contributions to public service have advanced economic growth, private sector development and national progress.

According to the Guild, Tayibu’s selection reflects his achievements in business and his sustained commitment to humanitarian causes. The organisation described him as a role model whose accomplishments offer inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs and future nation builders.

The award ceremony will form part of GOMEP-NG’s Annual Conference, Lecture and Workshop, which is expected to bring together policymakers, media executives, business leaders and other stakeholders to discuss issues affecting Nigeria’s digital media landscape and national development.
