The Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri
has urged the new Emir of Maiha Emirate, in Adamawa State, HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru Sanda to endeavour to foster inclusivity, unity, and economic development in the emirate.

The Governor pointed out that the creation of new Emirates, Chiefdoms was a reflection of his administration’s unrelenting commitment to strengthening local governance, preserving cultural heritage, and enhancing security.

Governor Funtiri gave this remark, today, Thursday, February 13, during the presentation of the Staff of Office to HRH Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru Sanda, as the first Emir of Maiha Emirate, in Adamawa State.

The epoch making ceremony marked a historic milestone in the state’s traditional leadership structure.

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Governor Fintiri reiterated his administration’s unflinching zeal to preserve the cultural heritage of the State, as well as ensure an improved security system.

Hear him:
“The creation of new emirates and chiefdoms, including Maiha, is a reflection of my administration’s commitment to strengthening local governance, preserving cultural heritage, and enhancing security.”

While highlighting Maiha’s vast economic potential, Fintiri outlined its strategic location for trade, rich agricultural resources, and renowned textile industry.

Furthermore, he assured the people of a continued collaboration between the traditional institution and government for sustained peace and progress.

Meanwhile, the event had in attendance dignitaries from all walks of life, among whom was the Distinguished Senator Aminu Iya Abbas, the Senator representing Adamawa Central.

The focal points of the ceremony were cultural and acrobatic displays by different groups, among other cultural activities.
