E.C.K Foundation Mourns Reverend Uma Ukpai, Describes Him as “A Warrior for God” and Beacon of Faith

The E.C.K Foundation, under the leadership of its Chairman, Chief (Dr.) Emeka Kalu, has extended its heartfelt condolences to the Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, particularly to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late Reverend (Dr.) Uma Ukpai, describing his passing on October 6, 2025, as “a monumental loss to humanity.”

In a statement, Chief (Dr.) Kalu noted that “Reverend (Dr.) Ukpai was a prominent cleric who devoted over six decades of his life to faith, hope, and charitable works.”

He further described the revered man of God as “a true Warrior for God,” whose life reflected the noble values and spiritual strength of the Ohafia clan. Chief (Dr.) Kalu praised the late evangelist for his “unwavering commitment to spreading the Word of God and serving humanity,” emphasizing that “Reverend (Dr.) Uma Ukpai’s life was a testament to his unshakeable faith and boundless compassion for mankind.”

According to him, “His legacy will continue to inspire and guide us, and his memory will be cherished for generations to come.”

The E.C.K Foundation, while joining the Christian community and the entire nation in mourning, offered prayers for the bereaved family and loved ones, asking God to grant them the strength and peace to bear this great loss.

Chief (Dr.) Kalu added that the impact of Reverend (Dr.) Ukpai’s ministry in the world “will never be forgotten.” He lauded the late cleric’s life of selfless service, compassion, and dedication to uplifting the underprivileged, noting that “as we celebrate his life, we are reminded of the importance of living with purpose, faith, and a deep sense of service to humanity.”
