Doctor Shares Hilarious Pre-Surgery Confession That Left the Operating Room in Laughter

A Doctor has recounted a certain patient’s shocking confessions that cracked up doctors moments before surgery.

A Nigerian medical doctor, identified as Dr. Bishop, has left social media users in stitches after sharing a hilarious confession made by one of his patients moments before surgery.

The doctor recounted the incident on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, explaining that the patient was being prepared for an emergency bowel obstruction surgery when he suddenly asked to make a confession.

According to Dr. Bishop, the request initially caused concern among the surgical team, who thought the patient might be harboring some deep emotional secret or wanted to speak with a priest or family member.

However, the patient insisted that his confession was meant solely for the doctors.

“Eventually, he asked me to come closer so he could whisper it into my ear,” Dr. Bishop wrote.

To everyone’s surprise, the patient then admitted:

“I know you guys asked me not to eat or drink anything, but I was so hungry that I asked my younger brother to smuggle in some eba and ogbono soup, which I just finished about 30 minutes ago.”

Dr. Bishop described the revelation as the “most helpful confession” he had ever received from a patient, noting that it helped the medical team understand what might have worsened the man’s condition before surgery.

The post has since sparked widespread laughter online, with many Nigerians sharing their own funny hospital experiences in response.
