A popular Nollywood Star, Brenda Eve Ndukwe, (Mama G Jnr.) has charged Deltans and indeed every Nigerian to act in accordance with the federal government’s laid down precautionary measures in the fight to contain and prevent further spread of Coronavirua disease in the country.
Mama G Jnr. who was in February 2020, reelected as the Financial Secretary Actors Guild Of Nigeria made this hearty appeal while passionately distributing palliatives to some destitute at Okpanam road, in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.
Speaking with Famous Reporters shortly after the event, the proud Ikwuano born lady, (Akwaugo) implored every well- meaning Nigerian not to hesitate to show love to one another especially as the lockdown persists, adding, “Trust me, people don’t give not bcos they don’t have but bcos they don’t have the spirit of giving in them.
“So, I advise as many that can take care of their families to stretch out there hands and show love to those that do not have the opportunity they have, especially in this period of lockdown. Many people put there are hungry and they depend on you for survival.
“God created me for a purpose and that purpose I’ve discovered is just to put smiles on people’s faces through charity work. I feel so good and fulfilled doing this today because it is my calling. Am not doing it bcos I have money more than anyone else rather I’m driven by passion”, as he prayed for God to continually make her a solution to people’s needs.
Addressing the group of persons consisting of men and women both old and young, Actress Brenda Eve reminded the people of the reality of the virus, as she urged Nigerians all over the world to ensure they observe effectively the various preventive measures towards palliating the spread of the virus.”I want to use this opportunity to remind you all to stay safe from the deadly virus called Corona, because it is real and how can you avoid contracting it? It is only by washing your hands each time u touch any object, avoid hand shakewith anyone for now because everyone is a potential patient already and you can’t tell who is free up until it manifests in them and maintain social distancing.
“Avoid crowded places such like market, public gatherings or even meetings for now. If u are not married, stay away from ur boyfriend or girlfriend and if you are, please, stay at home with your family. God will keep us safe from any virus from the pit of hell, in Jesus’ name. But, you must stay safe and stay put in your homes”, she concluded.
Meanwhile, major items distributed at the place were Rice, garri, stuck fish, salt, tomato paste, onions, etc.
