COVID-19: Harmony Foam donates mattresses to Abia gov’t.

Following the irresistible urge to support the government of Abia state led by Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in deadening the impacts of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic and the quest to mitigate the spread of same in the state, the  Management of Harmony Foams Ltd has, through the inter-ministerial committee on COVID-19 donated dozens of hospital mattresses to the state.

Speaking through Hon. Israel Emeka, during the donation, the MD/CEO of Harmony Foam Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh eulogised the efforts of the State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu so far in conjunction with his team for providing effective leadership in the fight against the virus in the state.

The CEO of Ikoh Group of Company, Ahuwa Oboro, in Ikwuano LGA of the state pointed out that the donation was one of the ways through which the company could partner the government in order to ensure that those who may be infected by the virus would be effectively cared for.

He said: “we are proud of the laudable efforts of Governor Ikpeazu and his team to rein in the virus in the state and it behoves on us as a responsible corporate organisation to lend our support in this battle to protect the people of the state from this deadly virus. We encourage our people to also ensure they take measures to protect themselves from the pandemic that is threatening our way of life and even our means of livelihood rather than leaving everything to the government.”

Responding, Secretary to the State Government, Barr Chris Ezem, expressed gratitude to the company for the kind gesture and assured that the materials would further boost the government’s capacity to deal with the virus in the state.

Barr. Ezem used the medium to thank other private and corporate citizens of the state who have donated cash and other materials to the fight against the virus through the committee and prayed God to replenish them.
