Secretary to the State Government (SSG) andy Coordinating Commissioner, Ebonyi state government, Ugbala Kenneth Igwe, Ph.D has lauded the Chairman, Southeast Governors Forum, Engr. David Nweze Umahi for perpetually adhering to the principle of justice, equity and liberation in his government.
In a release signed by the SSG and made available to Famous Reporters, the latter commended the conspicuous show of bravity by Governor Umahi while describing his decision to embrace his new found love, hence his defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC as a glaring show of wisdom.
He commended Umahi’s notable leadership strides, adding, “Your Excellency the progressive Governor, your guide and support has certainly led us to the path of progress, while thanking immensely members of the National Caretaker Committee, noting that, “your immeasurable support and commitments in ensuring that APC regains its strength in the South East is quite appreciated”, he added.
The statement read in part:
“Congratulations, Your Excellency, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE.
“May I, on behalf of my family and staff of Cabinet Office, Abakaliki, congratulate Your Excellency Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi,Governor of Ebonyi State, Chairman Southeast Governors Forum and Ndi Ebonyi for standing up for justice, equity, liberation, and better tomorrow.
“I particularly congratulate Ebonyi people for renewing their mandate and trusting our resolve to deliver quality leadership under the great All Progressives Congress Party. Ebonyi has been marginalized in the past, and today, you collectively gave your mandate to be recognized in the scheme of quality governance through the ruling APC.
“I want to sincerely assure you that you made the right choice as the party and His Excellency Governor David Nweze Umahi value this trust and will not disappoint you.
Continuing, he said: “My gratitude also goes to His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, His Excellency the Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, GCON, and His Excellency, the Chairman, APC National Caretaker Committee, Mai-Mala Buni, for their leadership roles and support that saw to the peaceful defection and formal declaration by Governor Nweze Umahi and Ebonyians for APC.
“May I also congratulate the newly appointed Caretaker Committee members of APC in Ebonyi State and the leader of the party in the State, His Excellency, Governor David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, for their resilience, and unflinching commitment to our party. This bold step taken by our dear Governor has greatly enriched us for greater tomorrow with less stress.
