Climate Action 30: House of Reps Extols Rep Onuigbo

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas PhD, has described Rep. Sam Onuigbo as a worthy ambassador of the House of Representatives. Rt. Hon. Abbas made this known during plenary on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

While reading out a notification and commendation on Rep. Onuigbo following his recognition as one of 30 Global Leaders on Climate Change, the Honourable Speaker referred to the passage of the Climate Change Act by the 9th Assembly and how this Act, sponsored by Rep. Onuigbo, has positioned Nigeria to tackle climate change and position her for resilience and sustainable development.

He therefore commended and congratulated Rep. Onuigbo for his giant strides.

Recall that New York-based Business Insider had on Monday, November 27, 2023, released its list of 30 Global Leaders on Climate Change. According to them, the “Climate Action 30 list highlights 30 of these top global leaders working to address the climate crisis through collectivism, community, and accountability.”

Rep. Onuigbo, who sponsored Nigeria’s Climate Change Act, has continued to drive conversations on climate action, renewable energy, sustainable development, and green growth, across the world.
