It is evident that Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has gradually begun plotting the Waterloo of Sen. Rochas Okorocha, former Governor of the State, over alleged mad and criminal acquisition of Imo wealth, hence possession of not fewer than 250 C of Os.
The two term former Senator for Imo West and Governor of Imo State, Chief Hope Uzodinma while addressing Imo Stakeholders today at Eze Imo Palace, sought for their consent and approval to recover all Imo properties looted or illegally converted to personal use by the ex-Governor Rochas Okorocha led administration in the state.
A very high profile stakeholders meeting had in attendance all former Governors & Deputy Governors, former Speakers & Deputy Speakers, members of the National & State Assembly, former Secretaries to Imo State Government, Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Bishops, CAN, NLC, NBA, TUC, Women & Youth Leaders, NURTW, Political Leaders, etc.
A consent form was signed by the stakeholders which gave the Governor the people’s support and backing in the recovery of all looted properties irrespective of who is involved.
Addressing the stakeholders, Governor Hope Uzodinma said :
“How can one man have over 250 C of O for himself alone?
I shared with the stakeholders the plan and procedures of our administration in the areas of recovery of the commonwealth of the State which has been stolen and misappropriated by a few.
The recovery process and procedures will enable the State government recover all Imo’s commonwealth which were looted between 2011-2019.
Highlights of the meeting was the signing of consent form which gave me the people’s support and backing in the recovery of all looted properties irrespective of who is involved.”
With the signing of the consent form by Imo People, the final conclusion of the Imo Judicial enquiry on land and other related matters, state executive review and whitepaper gazette on looted properties to be recovered , coupled with an ex-parte motion by the High Court of Imo State for interim forfeiture of all assets acquired by Ex-Gov. Rochas Okorocha in line with the administration of criminal justice law.
It is evident that Gov.Uzodinma has begun the gradually Waterloo of Okorocha, former head of Imo principalities and powers as he claimed, from greed, mad and criminal acquisition of Imo common wealth.
