Breaking News: Obi Aguocha beats Chinedu Orji Again, As Appeal Court affirms his election

The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos State has today, November 3, reaffirmed Rt. Hon. Obinna Aguocha of the Labour Party, (LP), as the duly elected member representing Ikwuano Umuahia North/South, and Ikwuano Federal Constituency of Abia State.

The former Speaker, (aka. Ikuku) candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), had earlier, filed a suit challenging the resounding victory of the Labour Party candidate in the just concluded general elections.

Speaking amidst an aura of confidence, in a statement issued to the Media prior to his Court’s Victory, the Ogwumabiri 1 of Umuahia had reassured his constituents of his envisaged resounding victory.

Aguocha who prided in the divine grace of God upon his life, wondered why his rival had failed to take cognizance of same.

The statement read in detail:

Umunnem, ndi Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano Federal Constituency, the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos will today render judgement on the appeal filed by Mr. Chinedu Orji (PDP) challenging my election victory, declaration, and affirmation of same by the Election Petition Tribunal Court.

What he has failed to also realise is the Hand of God in my matter and not money.

In a few hours from now, God will show Himself again.

It would be recalled that the National Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in, Umuahia, Abia State’s capital, had, on September 7, 2023, reaffirmed the victory of Rt. Hon. Obinna Aguocha, as the authentic elected member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency.

The Court dismissed the case as filed by the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji of PDP, against the winner of the 2023 Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, the Ogwumabiri 1 of Umuahia.
