Security Urged To Investigate Abia INEC Over Alleged Bribe Of 2m Dollars By PDP, APC To Swap Names Of Collation Officers Posted To Abia To Fictitious Persons Against March 18
An insider from the Abia State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, who pleaded for anonymity has revealed that the leadership of the party, in the State, had on Monday, paid a whopping sum of 2m dollars to INEC Head of Operations and Administrative Secretary of the election umpire in the state to enable them manipulate the exercise in their favour.
The said money, according to the source is to facilitate the process of changing the names of Collation Officers posted to Abia to some impostors perceived to be PDP’s loyalists who would act as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC on the day of the election.
“The money was disbursed on Monday, Abuja 13, and the essence of the payment is for INEC’s Head of Operations and the Administrative Secretary to be able to plant just those whom they have chosen to pose as the real officers posted to the State by INEC. This will enable them ensure that their governorship candidate is declared the winner of the election.
“I hope the security agencies get this information and act fast so that they will not succeed in this wicked plot.
“Even the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC is not left out in the his act. He too did the same thing. He and his people have also connived with the INEC to rig the election in his favour.
“As for Ikechi Emenike, he just wants to win at all costs and he keeps saying they have to do everything possible to ensure he is declared winner then they can begin to go to court.”
“Security agencies should, please, investigate the happenings in Abia INEC otherwise the votes of the electorates may not count.”
