Arochukwu Youths Applaud Uko Nkole Over COVID-19 Palliatives

The Youth wing of Aro Okeigbo kingdom, in Arochukwu LGA of Abia State, yesterday lauded the painstaking efforts of the Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole towards alleviating the hardship imposed on the people consequent on the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic and the subsequent government’s lockdown directives.

The group who poured encomiums on the Federa Lawmaker during a solidarity visit to the latter’s country home, in Ozu Abam, amidst gratitude, recounted on the relief packages given to the Vulnerable ones in Arochukwu and beyond, ranging from bags of rice, face masks, cartons of indomie, sanitizers and liquid soaps, and a lot more.

Speaking on behalf of the the Youth forum, Mr. Akweke Ozone expressed unreserved joy, as he recalled Hon. Nkole’s selfless service to his constituency, hence his ability to unhesitantly deploy measures to curb the menace of the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate the suffering of the indigent in their midst.

Hear him: “We have come to thank the federal lawmaker for providing relief packages for the Vulnerable ones in Arochukwu with bags of rice, face masks, cartons of indomie, sanitizers and liquid soaps as his own measure to contain curb the menace of the COVID-19 pandemic and mitigate the suffering of the indigent as a result of the lockdown imposed by the government to contain the spread of the coronavirus.”

The group further expressed their unadulterated loyalty and support for the Legislator, as they used the medium to pray for God to grant him and his entire family the courage to bear the great loss of their father, Late Chief Emmanule Nkole Ndukwe who passed departed on December 24, 2019, after a brief illness.

Responding, Rt. Hon. Nkole while thanking them for their visit, charged the youths to be law abiding.

Nkole in his remarks, insistedand on the need to comply with the Government’s stay-at- home order, reiterating “you must obey government’s directives in the ongoing fight against this deadly Coronavirus, Wash your hands regularly with soap, use alcoholic based sanitisers, face masks and also maintain social distancing as these are some of the through which we can contain the spread of the virus”, he advised.
