Arochukwu former elected Councillors forum condoles with Rt. Hon. Nkole ….Extols Lawmaker’s unprecedented achievements

The Forum of Former Elected Councillors from Arochukwu LGA that cuts a cross party lines has condoled with the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole on the demise of his father, Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole Ndukwe.

Speaking on behalf of the forum on Thursday May 28, 2020 during her commiseration visit to the Federal lawmaker at his Ozu Abam country home in Arochukwu LGA of Abia state, Hon. Godwin O. Nwankwo,A former Leader of Arochukwu LGA legislative council said the demise of Late Chief Nkole is a monumental loss to the Nation.

The former elected Councilor pointed out that the deceased had undoubtedly left a legacy on the sands of time with his meritorious service to the Nations apex bank, the Central Bank of Nigeria where he retired as a Senior Management Staff.

“Late Nkole was a hero, fine gentleman and a light to his community. During his days on the earth, Late Chief Nkole impacted lives positively with his philanthropic gestures to the less privileged and prayed to God to accept his soul in his bosom and comfort the Nkole’s family.”

Speaking further , Nwankwo expressed profound gratitude to Rt. Hon. Nkole and lauded his unprecedented achievements “that reverberates across the federal constituency and described him as a political leader who accommodates all despite party affiliations.”
Hon Nwankwo used the opportunity to appreciate Hon Nkole for his support for the emergence of one of their own Hon Sunday Okemini and Engr Marcus Osu as Party Chairman and Financial Secretary respectively in the PDP Arochukwu LGA and submitted that the choice is a perfect one that will bring back PDP on the winning streak. As opposed to the previous corrupt deceitful and divide and rule administration that existed within the rank of PDP in the local government.

Contributing, Hon. Okoro John , who was a former Majority leader of the Arochukwu legislative Council and current APC Chairman in the LGA described their coming together to interface and condole with Nkole despite their different party affiliations as a demonstration of the love they have for him.

Hon. John stressed that Nkole’s sterling performances and achievements had surpassed that of his predecessors within his short stay in office, saying “little wonder why other political parties in Arochukwu LGA rallied support for him and ensured he returned for second term so he can continue with his good works.”

Responding, Rt. Hon. Nkole thanked the group for commiserating with his family at their moment of sorrow.

“May i reassure my good people of Arochukwu /Ohafia of my determination to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the ongoing reconstruction of the Umuahia-Bende-Ozu Abam-Ohafia federal Road (F107) and the Arochukwu-Ohafia federal road which I facilitated its funding in the 2020 Federal Government Appropriation Act at the tune of 172 million and 690 million respectively while the contractors are back on site on the abandoned sites of the Umuahia Bende Ozu Abam Ohafia F107 Federal Road precisely at the Ajata Ibeku and Bende respective Erosion sites.

“I shall continue to work assiduously in ensuring the FG continues to fund the projects”, Nkole pledged.
Hon Nkole also assured them of his unalloyed support and enjoined them to copy the Obingwa Local Government Area style of politics.
