Arochukwu 2027: Sam Charles Declares “100% Victory” for NDC, promises massive devt

“With confidence and a long list of grassroots achievements, Apostle Hon. Sam Charles has declared himself fully prepared for the 2027 political battle for Aroju State Constituency. Fresh from the APC screening exercise, the former councillor and ex-chief whip spoke passionately about his political experience, community projects, and why he believes the ruling party has a “100 percent chance” of victory in the coming elections.”

A frontline aspirant for the Arochukwu State Constituency seat under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Apostle Hon. Sam Charles, has expressed confidence in his preparedness and capacity to emerge victorious in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking shortly after the party’s screening exercise, held yesterday at the party’s secretariat, in Umuahia, Abia State, Charles said he was fully equipped for the task ahead.

He stressed that his political experience and track record of service distinguished him before the screening panel.

“My name is Apostle Honorable Sam Charles. By the grace of God, I am running for Arochukwu State Constituency. Not only am I running, I am over-prepared — 100 percent prepared,” he declared.

According to him, the screening panel was impressed by his credentials and achievements in public service.

“When I rolled out who I am and what we have been doing over the years, the panel had no option but to tell me to take a bow,” he said.
The NDC aspirant recounted his political journey, revealing that he previously contested for the office of Local Government Chairman while in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), after securing the party’s ticket.

Charles highlighted several projects he executed during his time as a student leader, councillor, and chief whip of the council, insisting that his passion for service had always driven his political career.

“When I was an SA, I carried out projects across the wards under me. I also assisted in paying hospital bills for people who needed urgent operations,” he explained.

“While serving as a councillor and chief whip, I built a constituency ward office with my personal funds, alongside support from the then local government chairman who believed in my vision.”

He noted that genuine leadership naturally attracts support from well-meaning individuals.

“When people see that you have capacity, they will always support your programmes,” he added.

On the chances of the NDC in the forthcoming 2027 general elections, Charles expressed absolute confidence that the party would emerge victorious.

“We have a 100 percent chance. Between morning and evening on election day, the results will speak for themselves,” he stated confidently.

Taking a swipe at the incumbent leadership in the constituency, the APC aspirant alleged poor performance and accused the current representative of failing to meet the expectations of the people.

“Our people have rejected him, including many from his own area. The people deserve better leadership and effective representation,” he said.

Charles further argued that after decades of representation by a select group of politicians, it was time for a new generation of leaders to take over and reposition the constituency.

“Some individuals have represented this constituency for over 24 years. It is time to allow others to serve and bring fresh ideas,” he noted.

He promised that, if elected, his administration would focus on people-oriented projects and impactful governance.

“We are going to bring services that our people have never experienced before. We will put the people first and hit the ground running,” he assured.

Sending a message to his supporters, Charles said the people were already eager for his emergence as the party’s candidate.

“My people are waiting for me. They have been calling continuously, asking about the outcome of the screening and urging me not to disappoint them,” he said.

“I want them to remain hopeful and prepared because we are ready for this journey. We will not disappoint them.”
