APC Primaries: Erondu Erondu Declares ‘No Victor, No Vanquished’ After Crushing Rivals, Thanks supporters

“In a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, APC senatorial candidate, Erondu Erondu, has extended an olive branch to his opponents after recording a sweeping victory in the Abia South primaries. Speaking moments after receiving his Certificate of Return, the APC flagbearer declared that there was “no victor and no vanquished,” while promising inclusive representation, grassroots empowerment, and a fresh political direction for the people of Abia South.”

“APC senatorial candidate for Abia South, Erondu Erondu, won the party’s 2027 primary election with 15,982 votes, defeating Anyim Nyerere, Blessing Nwagba, and Paul Ikonne. After receiving his Certificate of Return, Erondu described the contest as peaceful and declared “no victor and no vanquished,” while promising inclusive leadership, empowerment, and development across Abia South.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer for Abia South Senatorial District in the 2027 general elections, Erondu Erondu, has appreciated party members and supporters following his decisive victory in the party’s just-concluded senatorial primaries.
Erondu secured 15,982 votes to defeat fellow aspirants Anyim Nyerere, Blessing Nwagba, and Paul Ikonne in the keenly contested APC primaries.

Speaking shortly after receiving his Certificate of Return at the APC Secretariat, Erondu described the exercise as transparent and peaceful. He stressed that the outcome reflected the unity and maturity within the party.

“There is no victor and no vanquished,” he declared.

According to him, the APC remains one united family driven by a common vision for the development of Abia South and the advancement of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Erondu noted that his co-contestants — Nyerere, Nwagba, and Ikonne — remain his brothers and sister. He added that they are collectively committed to improving the lives of the people across the senatorial district.

Furthermore, the APC candidate stated that his years of experience in public service and government positions have equipped him with the knowledge and understanding required to effectively represent the people at the National Assembly.

He expressed confidence that the APC would secure victory in the 2027 general election.
The politician also emphasised the need to “change the old order,” assuring residents that no community or stakeholder would be neglected if elected senator.

According to him, inclusive development, empowerment, and effective representation would remain top priorities of his administration.

While acknowledging the efforts of past representatives of Abia South Senatorial District, Erondu maintained that the time had come for a fresh approach to governance and leadership.

He also expressed optimism ahead of a possible contest against incumbent Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in the 2027 senatorial election, adding that he has committed the political journey into God’s hands.

Erondu, popularly known as the “Empowerment Master,” stated that true representation involves bringing the dividends of democracy closer to the grassroots.
“Public service and empowerment are familiar paths to me,” he said, while pledging to make the people of Abia South proud if elected into the Senate.

Meanwhile, the APC flagbearer commended the Abia State chapter of the party for conducting what he described as peaceful, free, fair, and credible primaries.

He further urged party members who did not emerge victorious in the primaries to remain loyal and committed to the collective success of the APC.

Erondu equally thanked his supporters for their steadfast encouragement, trust, and belief in his vision for Abia South.
