APC Aspirant Mark Ugorji Unveils Plan to Transform Ikwuano/Umuahia

“For years, many communities in Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency have felt sidelined in Nigeria’s development equation—but that narrative could be on the brink of change. In a bold and emotionally resonant commitment, APC aspirant Sir Mark Ugorji has declared that no community under his watch will ever be ignored again, unveiling a strategic roadmap aimed at inclusive growth, accountability, and federal presence.”

“APC aspirant Mark Ugorji has pledged to implement a people-centered development plan for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, focusing on community engagement, strategic legislative influence, and attracting federal projects to ensure inclusive growth and measurable progress.”

UMUAHIA, ABIA STATE — A frontline aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sir Mark Ugorji, has pledged to deliver a transparent, inclusive, and actionable constituency development plan that will prioritize the needs of all communities.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with famousreporters.com, yesterday, at his country home in Okwu-Olokoro, Umuahia South LGA, Ugorji emphasized his commitment to people-centered governance.

“I will commit to publishing a clear and actionable constituency development plan—not just for one community, but for all, including Umari,” he stated.

According to him, the proposed development blueprint will be rooted in direct engagement with constituents.

“My approach will be people-centered. During the campaign, I will engage directly with communities, listen to their needs, and understand their priorities. Based on those engagements, we will develop and publish a comprehensive master plan that reflects the true aspirations of our people,” Ugorji explained.

He stressed that the plan would not be symbolic but functional.

“This plan will not be a document that gathers dust—it will serve as a working guide for development, accountability, and measurable progress,” he added.

Addressing concerns about the constituency’s long-standing lack of federal presence, Ugorji outlined a strategic approach centered on influence, relationships, and legislative positioning.

“On attracting federal projects to a constituency that has long been overlooked, this requires strategy, relationships, and active participation,” he noted.

Describing himself as a “network builder,” Ugorji said he would leverage his connections within the National Assembly and across key government institutions to advocate effectively for his constituency.

“I will position myself in key legislative committees where decisions about projects, funding, and national priorities are shaped. That is where real influence lies,” he said.
He further assured constituents that he would not adopt a passive approach if elected.

“Even as a first-time legislator, I understand the importance of visibility, engagement, and persistence. I will not be passive—I will be deliberate in ensuring that our constituency gets its fair share of federal presence.”
Ugorji concluded with a strong message of hope and inclusion:

“My goal is simple: to ensure that our communities are no longer left behind, but are fully included in the development agenda of this country.”
