GOVERNOR OTTI READY TO COLLABORATE WITH SECURITY EXPERTS

Abia State government under the leadership of Governor Alex Otti says it is ready to partner with various security experts to ensure that the state is safe
This was made known through the Commissioner designate of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Uzor Nwachukwu during a courtesy call on him by the State Command of the Vigilante group of Nigeria.

Hon Uzor who stated that the present Administration is very serious on the issue of security also said that the government is strategizing ways of combating crime in the state.

Hon Uzor made it clear that security is everybody’s business and assured all that the governor is not relenting to ensuring the safety of lives and properties in the state.

He pointed out that the traditional rulers in the State will be working in synergy with the State Government to achieving the desired result and therefore thanked the group for their visit.

Speaking during the visit the State Commandant, Vigilant group of Nigeria, Ambassador Endurance Ugoala thanked the Commissioner designate for welcoming them in his office and stated that they came to inform the Commissioner designate of their readiness to work with the present administration to achieve a zero tolerance to crime in the state.

Commandant Ugoala therefore assured the Commissioner designate of their loyalty and support to the present administration.

Adding his voice the officer in charge State, special duty, Chief Ogbonna Onyeweaku said that there is need for the involvement of traditional rulers in the state to help achieve the goal, which led to their decision to visit the Commissioner and expressed hope that there will be official understanding among all involved.

The visit attracted the presence of officers of the group.
